Privacy Policy

KeepAfter ("we", "our", or "us") is a grief and emotional wellness app designed to support you through life's hardest moments. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how it's protected, and the rights you have over your data.

1. What We Collect

When you use KeepAfter, we collect only what's necessary to deliver the service:

• Account information: your email address and the name you choose to share during onboarding.
• Conversation data: messages you send to Mira, your AI companion. These are stored to provide context across sessions.
• Emotional check-ins: daily mood check-ins and emotional patterns you log in the app.
• Food noise logs: craving and emotional eating check-ins you record (1-10 scores and optional notes).
• Weight logs: weight entries you choose to track.
• Push notification token: to deliver daily check-in reminders if you enable them.
• Device information: basic technical data (app version, OS version) used for debugging and crash reporting.

We do not collect your location, contacts, camera, microphone, or any data not listed above.

2. How Your Data Is Stored

Your data is stored in Supabase, a secure cloud database provider. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256). Row-level security policies ensure that each user can only access their own data.

3. AI Processing

Mira's responses are generated using the Anthropic Claude API. When you send a message to Mira, that message and relevant context from your history are sent to Anthropic's servers to generate a response. We do not permit Anthropic to use your conversations to train their models under our API agreement. We never use your personal conversations or health data to train any AI model.

4. What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell your data -- ever.
• We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
• We do not display ads in the app.
• We do not use your data for purposes beyond delivering KeepAfter to you.

5. Third-Party Services

• Supabase -- database and authentication
• Anthropic -- AI response generation
• Expo -- push notification delivery
• Sentry -- crash reporting (no personal message content is sent)
• Vercel -- backend hosting
• Apple -- in-app purchase processing

6. Your Rights

• Delete your account: Go to the You tab → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account and all associated data. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
• Export your data: Go to the You tab → Export My Data. This gives you a JSON file of everything we hold about you.
• Access & correction: Contact us at nehalswami@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

KeepAfter is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email.
